The TransAtlantic Horn Quartet

"An intensive learning experience full of great opportunities for the serious horn player of any age"
Join the members of the TransAtlantic Horn Quartet for 7 days of intensive study and performing in the heart of the Appalachian and Great Smoky Mountains. The seminar is designed to enhance the player's skills both as a soloist and ensemble performer. All participants will be housed at a beautiful new dorm on the campus of WCU. Included in the daily schedule:
- Quartet rehearsals/coachings
- Masterclasses with TAHQ members
- Orchestral reading sessions
- Lecture/Discussions about all aspects of the horn
- Small group lessons
- Solo performances
- Ensemble performances
- Open rehearsals of the TAHQ
- Opportunities to perform with the TAHQ
- Evening recitals featuring the TAHQ and its individual members in solo and ensemble performances
Room: A double occupancy room in the Norton Road Residence Hall. Light bedding and internet access is included. This is a "state of the art" residence hall which is a 5 minute walk from the music building.
Meals: Meals will be provided in the Brown cafeteria (a short walk from the music department). There are a number of excellent and reasonably priced restaurants within a short distance from the WCU campus.
